In collaboration with the University of Namur, optimising the control of recombinant protein secretion (SEC pathway) in Bacillus using a single-cell approach.
European programme
Enabled the acquisition of advanced instruments such as the Segregostat, to study the phenotypic diversification of cell populations in the context of industrial bioprocesses.
National (FNRS)
With the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (Germany), studying the fundamental processes of phenotypic and genotypic diversification in microbial populations to establish new bioprocess-control strategies.
Regional (Wallonia)
In collaboration with Puratos, ensuring the stability and control of Bacillus populations for the secretion of recombinant proteins.

With the Entomology and Mass-Spectrometry laboratories at the University of Liège, isolating microorganisms able to assimilate PE, PU and PET plastics.

With UNamur and Fytofend, developing a production system for recombinant enzymes in Bacillus to formulate active hydrolysates as biocontrol agents.
